How is your retirement plan doing?

In March all retirement plans took a bit hit when catching Covid-19 looked like a death sentence with no reprieve in sight.

By July, with some draconian measures in place, we turned a corner. And by we, I mean the planet. It seemed we had survived the worst and were working on finding a cure. There were protocols in place and the number of cases were going down.

During that time, many people were panicking watching their retirement savings earnings evaporate. Many became pessimistic thinking that they would never be able to retire. Is one of them you?

As we head into winter and the cases increase again, which to trained scientists, was a possibility, how are you positioned to weather this new assault on your retirement savings?

Now is not the time to panic or make major changes to your portfolio. Those who left their portfolios alone in March are almost back to where they were before the pandemic. Those that made major changes in the middle of the pandemic are finding it a lot more difficult to recover from the panic selling.

My best advice is to continue to follow your plan. And look to the bright future.
