Finding your superpower series

Jul 19, 2020

I have been listening to a webinar series put on by Audrey Meyers, called Finding your Superpower, hack your mind and body to become unstoppable. The various guests she has had on the program have really opened my mind to new possibilities.

Some of the take-aways.

  1. Proper breathing can make the difference between being a healthy, vital human being doing what you want when you want and a sickly whiner who has trouble getting out of bed in the morning
  2. What you focus on you can achieve. This is something I have done for some time and found works. Whether you set up elaborate vision boards or just use words written on the back of a napkin does not matter. What matters is that you post this vision in a prominent place so you see it every day.
  3. What you feed your body matters. Eat mindfully. Keep a food journal. This can help those of you looking to reduce your weight as well as those who feel great some days and lousy the next. By keeping a food journal you can spot trends and figure out what foods to avoid because they make you feel bad. It may also help you find food / emotional triggers that cause you to binge eat. The more you know the better you can plan your healthy food plan.
  4. Move every day. For those not interested in a formal exercise program, who hate to sweat, and can’t see the value in exercise, consider walking more. The simple act of parking your car further away from your destination will add steps, which in turn will increase your movement for the day. Exercise does not have to be something extra you do.

Note how all of the items above do not take a lot of time or effort on your part. However, if done consistently, you will see a change in your physical and emotional well-being. So give it a try.

Consider adding a walk around the block to your evening routine. Write down and post in a conspicuous spot, your goals, and dreams.

Try something new.

It’s your life and only with consistent effort on your part can it become better than it is today.

I believe in you!
